RoboParty shares RP1 humanoid robot design and manufacturing files

RoboParty has made design and manufacturing files for its RP1 humanoid robot available. A university team could inspect how the leg motors connect and use those files as a starting point for design changes. This is not a ready-to-run robot package, and the RP1 setup guide is still unfinished.

What can builders inspect?

The repository, an online collection of project files, includes mechanical drawings, circuit-board production data, wiring harnesses and lists of required parts. It goes beyond pictures by sharing some of the detail needed to build or modify the robot. CNX Software covered the collection on 23 October.

Which robot is RP1?

It is also presented as ROBOTO 01. The company specifies 24 independently driven directions of motion for the standard model and 30 for Pro; bending an elbow is one such direction. These numbers do not count tasks the robot can perform without programming.

What remains incomplete?

The software repository still marks its dedicated RP1 deployment guide “Coming soon.” Having drawings does not establish complete software or guarantee a successful build. Company-owned hardware designs use CERN-OHL-W-2.0; other files can have different licence terms.
