OpenScale firmware compile reproduction — 2026-10-24 Original project: SparkFun Electronics, https://github.com/sparkfun/OpenScale Project commit: 7c0e0191c6e8b0ee30401e1cb1873247501802fb Sketch: firmware/OpenScale/OpenScale.ino (version 1.2), unmodified Target: arduino:avr:uno; Arduino AVR Boards 1.8.8; Arduino CLI 1.5.1 HX711 library 0.7.5: https://github.com/bogde/HX711 Dependency commit: be5e3d251b0aa6c1279edf76ab985825de4ebfd9 OneWire 2.3.8: https://github.com/PaulStoffregen/OneWire Dependency commit: 800f26f3ee6eb446a72e013785cac3700e54cc13 Put the pinned HX711 and OneWire library folders inside a local libraries folder. Run from a directory containing the pinned OpenScale repository and that folder: arduino-cli compile --fqbn arduino:avr:uno --libraries ./libraries --build-path ./build --warnings all ./OpenScale/firmware/OpenScale Observed compile: exit 0, flash 15900 bytes, global variables 463 bytes. Warnings remained, including signed/unsigned comparisons, an unused variable and a boolean comparison. Successful compilation is not a claim of warning-free code. The original project does not pin dependency versions. This checks the recorded combination, not reproduction of the manufacturer's original released binary. No upload, hardware execution, circuit simulation, accuracy or noise test performed. Original dependencies retain their respective author credits and licenses.
